Dr Dew was in town yesterday hence we had dinner together. I was also told that we would be going to the KTV for a singing session after the dinner. That was what I dreaded the most. I can't sing!

I had told Dr Dew during the interview session previously that I do not go to the KTV as my voice sucks. In addition, I think the glasses would also break when I sings hence i do not go to these places often. Haha. He insisted on me singing. Robin also mentioned that I would not be able to run away from the fact that we have to sing last night. He was right.

Right after dinner, we headed straight for the KTV place at Tanjong Pagar. I was in for a surprise.

    Surprise 1:

Robin asked the others if Ray had taken beer. I looked at him curiously. Why did he ask that? Is something wrong? Well, soon I realised why he said that. Haha. Ray sang the songs with all sort of actions that you can think of. He also does not need to use the mike. He is loud enough. haha You should see him with all the actions and hand gestures. Dr Dew even commented that Ray should be in the MTV. When he started to rap in one of the songs (Jay Chou's Dad I am Home) he was so funny. He changed some of the words and its sounded really really funny.

    Surpise 2:

Wanida could really sing! She can even sing the Shanghai Tan cantonese version! She is a Thai!! I was so amazed that my jaw just dropped! haha

We went home only after 1am last night. When I was home, i could not sleep at all. Laid in bed till about 3 am in the morning and went to work at 8. I look like a panda now. haha

That was all the fun yesterday. Today, I have yet to complete the two applications that I need to do. The 7 peaks reappear today, but the retention time shifted. I cannot use the program that was being set earlier. The peaks are too closely separated. Running a few more different programs tonight. I hoped that tomorrow I would be able to continue running the real calibration and continue with the Catalyst C application.

I am not sure if I would able to get the results. If only I could use carbonate eluent instead of sodium hydroxide. Hiaz. Headache.

I have been to Batam over the weekend with the others. Although there wasn't much to do over there. I guess it was fun due to the company that I was in. There was a lot of crap from all of us. We chatted and drank red wine, beer and cocktails till late at night. It was evident that majority of us was sleepy but nobody wanted to surrender to our need to sleep. Mwahaha.

The most funny I think it would be Tec. He was so full of enthusium when we first reached there. He had a smile fixed onto his face. But when we were about to leave the place, he looked very gloomy and kept quiet. When everyone commented on it, he just kept quiet. Haha...

Since all of us stayed in the same estate, we literately went home together. Most of the time we would go our separate ways after a certain stage of the journey hme. But this time, haha. We have companion to go back together. That was really nice.

All of us had problems transiting back to reality when we came back from the trip. Haha. Tec even sms me and told me of his problem switching back to working mood. Haha. We should plan more of such outings. Ivy have already came out with a list of places that we can go together.

As for work. I did not know that there were so much politics that are going on behind the scenes. I just took things as it was and did not ponder so much into things. However, after what I had learnt today, I realised that things are not as easy as it seems.

It seems that the office is quite divided up. Admin vs Service. Although service is the majority, the admin seems to be the ruling party. Everything is decided without much consultation and its to that liking. Is it that things are always like that in the other organisation or companies too?
