We will be going back home tomorrow after spending about 12 days in Germany. I had training for the first part of the week, while my dear husband had to entertain himself while I was working. However I am thankful that he is around as I had fallen sick when I reached here due to the dry air on the long flight here and the dry and cold air in Germany. Thank you dear.

After the training ended on Friday, we headed off to Salzburg with Herbert's Family and Krissy. That day it was really cold as it had snowed the night before the day and it was still snowing when we left Germany. Herbert had to avoid the highways and took the smaller roads through all the towns. It was horrible as he wasn't able to go as fast as he could on the highway, which he is able to go about 190km/hr. However I am really thankful that Herbert and family took time off to go to Austria with us.

We visited the Castle at Salzburg and it was really nice. The view from the castle down to the village or town below was magnificent. We took a lot of pictures over there. If you are interested to view the pictures, head over to my photos and you will see all the photos there. We also had dessert over there which was a speciality of the town. It is made of egg white and sugar. It wasn't as sweet as I thought it was. Eating some of this dessert was ok, however if you have too much, it was a little disgusting. We had dinner at Krissy place and Krissy parents were really nice. Her mum even cooked a 3 course meal for us!

The next day, we headed over to the mountains in Austria, where Krissy's other home was. The weather was fantastic! The sun was shinning and the snow was fresh. This was our first experience with that much snow. I was actually surprised that the snow was really like powder, very soft and fluffy. We spent a little time on the ski mountain and went down pretty quick as our feet were getting really cold. After that we headed over to play the miniature sleigh that Krissy brought along. It was fun!

We also visited the legendary Cinderella Castle in Germany. It was said that this castle had inspired the creation of the Cinderella Castle in Disney. However this castle wasn't finished before the king died. As such, the castle was never really completed internally.

Today we attended a Fashing Carnival as it was the last day of the carnival in Munich. We arrived at MarienPlatz at 10 am and they started drinking at 10.30 am. Everyone was dressed up, but we just had some hats on. Some people were dressed as Penguins, men as nuns, men in dresses, bananas, etc. One of the kangaroo was down and out before the actual carnival started for the day and had to be sent to the hospital in an ambulance. Herbert said that they must had drank the entire night away. We actually had a good laugh watching these people dressing up and all. Even the little kids were all dressed up. I will post the photos for the carnival another day.
