Merry Belated Christmas everyone! Christmas just came and went by so quickly. Next week its 31 Dec and we will be welcoming the new year, 2008!
We had the company Christmas dinner this year on 18 Dec. Our CEO, Chairman of Entertainment, Karin did not want us to know the venue for dinner and made us meet at Clark Quay's water fountain. Following that we proceeded to HOOTERS! hahahaa. We had a very fulfilling dinner there and was well entertained by the guys who were ogling at the gals in their uniform. Haha. The guys seem to know that one of the entrainment by the restaurant was playing the hula hoops. They amazingly disappeared when the waitress wanted to ask the guys to go onto the stage.
Following dinner we proceeded to Party World where we had our gift exchange and lucky draw. My gift was purchased by Kelvin. He gotten me a scarf and a hat for winter. Thanks a lot, I wanted to purchase it too. Then we had our lucky draw. This year it was a little different. The lucky draw prizes were in the envelopes which bear the part no of the items which our company was selling. We had to guess the part description before we could get that prize.
Wanida asked me to get the Cation Suppressor. I hesitated to choose that part as it always gave me problems. I placed the envelope back onto the table and they all warned me that I cannot regret if that was the first prize.

In the end I chose the envelope and guess what. I really won the first prize! Hahah.... The prize was 2 GV Gold Class movie tickets and $300 Takashimaya Vouchers. Hehe Now I can go and buy the curtains that I saw and liked a lot. HEhehe....
Before Christmas, we "renovated" his room by painting the entire room. We purchased the paint from IMM at the DIY store. It was an eye opener as they were able to provide the paint colour for the various series of paint such as Odourless, Easy Wash,etc etc. We were not restricted to the catalog which certain colours for certain products only. They will only need to add the colours to the white base paint and there! We have the paint in the colour that we wanted. Oh oh, the paint was mixed with a shaker which we were able to find in a laboratory, Sonicator, but a huge one! Haha Those who are working in the laboratory will know what I mean.
Before we start to paint, we had to remove most of the paint on one wall as the paint was peeling. After we finished the ceiling and one layer of the white sealer paint on the wall, we were dead tired. We went back to my place to sleep as the smell of the paint was horrible and his room was not in a state for him to sleep in. The next day we started off early and started painting the wall lemon yellow. The effect was perfect! After that we painted one of the white a darker colour called Bone. We wanted a dark colour so that it will be our feature wall. However the colour we chosen was a lighter than what we wanted. But still the effect was good. Now we are waiting for the furniture to be delivered to his place and we will be almost done. I will post the photos of the room once we complete it. For now its still a little messy as some of the things are still not packed as there isn't any cupboards for them. Hopefully we will be able to complete the mini renovation by this weekend.

It was a hectic week to begin with. There seems to be more jobs on hand compared to before. Although only two of our team members were not present this week, one came back on Thursday, we seemed so short handed. There were more than normal problems being reported and the problems were not the normal ones. These problems were never encountered nor were they easy to resolve. Then there was the stupid security guard at our office. I shall not mention it anymore. He had just simply spoilt my days at work.
Now that we have settled the bridal shop and the venue for the wedding, I am wondering if there is a necessity to engage a videographer. Our photographer is someone we have gotten from the bridal as there is a promotion on going. We only paid $388 for the entire day with 200 photos printed and the rest return in CD. The portfolio of the photographer seems ok, however I wondered if he is really good. It is not easy to capture almost every moment but I will really hope that he can do his best. Moments of not only of us but of our guest as well, I will like to see what happened that day that I might have missed. Then I will be able to sit down one day and just flip the pages to recapture that moment.
As the photographer has been decided already, I think I will not employ another or ponder over it anymore. So I am thinking of getting a videographer. Haha. If I did not decide the photographer properly, I hope that I can get a videographer to capture the moments that the photographer had missed. But.... but... I am lazy... Haha.... I am very lazy to go to the internet to look at the portfolios and find out more. I have tried and most of them are just photographers and do not have portfolio for their videos. Hmmmmm........ try. I am try to push myself to do it.
