Here are some of the updates of our progress. Signed up with Amara Hotel for the event, gotten a JP and finally a bridal package for our wedding. Although the actual day has not been decided yet, we wanted to get a package for the ROM. In that way we would not need to think about the dress, makeup and other things.

I am not sure whether we made a right choice in choosing this bridal. The people there are pretty friendly. One thing I like about them is that they were pretty frank with everything. They have some "copy" gowns from other bridal. Hence I felt that I would be able to have a wide variety of gowns. Dear and I like the gowns as both of us liked simple gowns. But some of the gowns which they showed me seems a little old. Oh well, we paid for the deposit already. I guess we shall not think so much about it. What is done is done.

We did not hunt a lot for the venue. Just choose between Amara and Merchant Court. In the end we chose Amara as we would be able to have an area for the ROM as well as the buffet Hi Tea together. On the other hand the guest would have to be ushered from the poolside at MC to the cafe downstairs. Dear thinks that its hassle and in the event if it rains, we would have a difficult time to go to the poolside as its a long walk from the shelter.

I went a little paranoid when we were unable to invite a JP for the solemnization. We called two of them and they were all fully booked for the day! I almost fainted. Its already 6 months in advance and they are all booked. One of them even informed us that he has 8 appointments that day. OMG. Dear and I quickly looked for other JP and finally managed to get one.

So what is left is our march in song, whether we would want to give out invitations and the wedding favours. It still 6 months more and we have gotten most of the things settled. Oh I need to get my shoes and his shirt. Maybe try to grab something during the GSS. haha.

Although it has been 4 days only after he proposed, I don't think it is registering in my brain yet.

Yesterday, I just told my manager regarding the proposal. She mentioned that she wanted to see the ring. Hence I brought the ring along today. However, I did not put on the ring as I did not want the other colleagues to know about it yet. I had placed the ring in the glove compartment in the car. When I was at the customer site, I felt insecure and took the ring out to wear. While working, I was also admiring the beautiful ring that he has bought. But I was taking great care that I do not spoilt the ring which he took almost two hours and 3 cups of tea before deciding to purchase this one.

Although we would be going down to the temple to seek advise on the ROM and wedding date, I am also pretty excited. I wondered what kind of dates would they allocate us with. Is there any clashes with anyone with our 8 characters? All these would be answered soon.

While waiting for the dates, we have source for various hotels and venues for the ROM. We had narrowed it down to Armara and Merchant Court. We like Amara for the price and venue. However, the guest would have to sit in the area without air condition while having their high tea. On the other hand, Merchant Court has a nice pool and scenary and the food would be served in the Market Place Cafe where its air conditioned. But, this comes with a higher price to pay.

Is it really necessary to pay so much for just a ROM? Can we make it simplier? The main reason why we are having it at a hotel is that it would easier for our parents. We don't want our parents to be waiting at the ROM itself and cause any unhappiness if any. That is the main reason I guess.

Then again, who should we be inviting for this ceremoney? More friends or family? Dear seems to favour more friends. As the situation would not be that tense. On top of that, inviting family seems to be more for the actual day itself, aka the wedding dinner. Oh headache!
